I have been receiving many questions lately about how my child’s speech progressed. The first 3 months he didnt really make many discernible sounds. But around the 4th and 5th month the “Ooohs” and “Ahhhs” and even “Cooos” became a little more noticeable. the one magic day hey said “Hey!”
You just have to encourage your child. Make those sounds back and him/her. Infants repeat what they hear. Or at least try to. Try not to have a fowl mouth around them. I am guilty of that. lol.
Around 6 months you will hear concrete words. Usually around this time they are able to say”Da” or “Ma” and eventually “Da-da” or “Ma-Ma” – Mario started with Da-Da and believe it or not started saying kitty
